Simon Martin-Redman is a British Philatelist; a Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London (FRPSL) and the world’s leading expert on Sarawak Philately. His exhibit Sarawak The First Forty Years 1858 - 1898 won the International Grand Prix in Lugano. He is a Past President of the Sarawak Specialists Society and now their Archivist. He has also formed many other Sarawak exhibits inc. Sarawak Airmails, Sarawak Maritime Mail and Incoming Mail. He has also won a Large Gold with his Sarawak Postal Stationery. He is a very long standing and active member of the Club de Monte-Carlo de l'Elite de la Philatélie. At the recent Helvetia 2022 show, Simon won the Grand Prix International with his exhibit of “Sarawak – The first forty years 1858-1898”
Simon first started collecting at the age of two and has a picture of himself holding his first stamp album at that age. After a first career in the Royal Navy leaving as a Commander at the age of 37, his second career was in Management Consultancy and he owned and built a very successful large Consultancy practice before selling it. Married to Claire he now lives on the beach in Frinton on Sea. |
