During this time, when most people are lock downed, we thought we would share with you some tips and advice on how to network remotely.
1) Virtual Calls
Do you use FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom for your day to day chats with family? Then why not use these channels to stay connected with clients as well. Have a virtual cup of coffee and a 30 minute chat to find out how they are. These don't need to be sales driven, they can be simple catch up calls
2) Join LinkedIn
LinkedIn is an amazing business tool and one which can be used to further your network. The social channel allows you to read business articles as well as connect with people within your industry and beyond.
3) Remote Worker
Try out Microsoft Teams or Slack so you can work together with different teams to manage your work flow and activity that is happening.
4) Virtual Networking Meet-Up's
There are lots of free virtual meet-ups happening around the UK. Check them out and sign yourself up to the next one so you can meet new people and extend your network within your local community.
Forums are a great way to keep connected and on top of information as well as see who has an opinion about news from your industry. Join some forums, see what people are saying & join in the chat.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
